Poff Retreat 06
Every year we get together with the Poff side of the family for a long weekend at a cabin in the woods.
This years highlights included a Poff version of Amazing Race. Jerry, Grandma and Grandpa beat us all, but I not ruling out that they cheated. The annual hula-hoop contest, where my nephew Tyler hooped it for an hour (I'm not kidding). To bad you can't put that kind of stuff on a resume.
As usual there is a unspoken competition between me and Janelle's brothers about who can start the best fire with nothing but will power and wet papertowels. By next year, my nickname will be Elijah.

The Pate Curse
So we plan a big weekend to go to the Hot Air Balloon Rally on Saturday and apple picking on Sunday.
The balloon rally was called off due to a little breeze. We got lucky and caught the lone balloon inflated for the entire 5 seconds.
The apple orchard closed early and because it was the last weekend of the season, there were more apples on the ground that on the trees.
