Say Uncle

Chris and his better half Mandy came up to see the new edition to the family. Chris didn't break him, so we consider the trip a success.

mouth of the south

Shortly after this shot, a swarm of bugs came out of his mouth like the scene in The Green Mile.

Pong Palace

Ahh, my favorite past times. Playing some Pong (or table tennis to you pong snobs) and beating my brother profusely. I think you can see the desperation on his face from behind.
And for all my friends in FL, this is called a basement.

Dukes of Water Hazzard

A day @ the lake with the Pates and the Padgetts (bro's inlaws). We got Dad on the tube and after he got on the wave runner, it was hard to get him off.

Whose your Daddy?

My brother and I decided to take another shot at Dad for the championship, and within about 30 seconds we found ourselves in this predicament begging for mercy. I guess the old man has still got it. Nevertheless, sooner or later, the man is going down.

The faces of Caden

Caden is finally learning to make happy faces which is a welcome change to the ubiquitous face he uses to tell us he is hungry, tired, dirty, etc...

Caden's Dedication

With Janelle's Dad and Grandfather (both pastors) in town, we thought it was a opportune time to dedicate Caden. We elected to just do it at the house with close friends and family. Jerry and Leroy did a great ceremony, and believe it or not, I didn't break down and sobb like a little girl (which I did do at our wedding).

Like a Candle in the Wind...

Memorial Day doubled as Janelle's birthday this year. So we had quite a few people over for a famous Pate cook-out. I spent most of the time fighting a five-alarm fire in my grill (apparently because I have neglected to clean it, therefore creating quite a grease buildup). Other than that, the day was spiced with ping-pong, darts and bocce ball.
